When is it necessary to inform Salon Vuokratalot about disturbing behaviour
Living in an apartment building includes various sounds of life, but sometimes these can become disruptive. If your neighbor’s noises are disturbing, the first step is to inform the person causing the disturbance in a respectful manner. It may be that the neighbor is not even aware that their living or behavior is bothering other residents of the building.
Discuss with your other neighbors whether they have noticed the same disturbing behavior.
If the disturbance is extremely severe or the situation is threatening, report it to the police. The police will not inform Salon Vuokratalot about their visits.
If the disturbance continues frequently despite a notice, report it to Salon Vuokratalot through the resident page. We cannot consider complaints made by phone or anonymously. Please fill out the form according to the instructions so that we have enough information about the incident.
After the report, we will investigate the matter and will contact the person causing the disturbance. Depending on the nature of the disturbance and the number of reports, we may issue a warning or a written reprimand to the disruptor.
If disturbances continue after your report, make a new written report regarding the disturbing behavior. If the disturbance is significant and long-lasting, Salon Vuokratalot may terminate or cancel the lease agreement.
Please note that if the disruptor does not leave the apartment voluntarily or disagrees with the matter, the termination of the lease may need to be addressed in district court. In this case, the individuals who reported the disturbance must be prepared to testify in the legal proceedings. In such cases, the handling of the matter may take months.
No action may be taken if the disturbance is minimal and short-lived, or if there is only one complainant.
